DYATD: Health Education Plan in Google Classroom

DYATD: Health Education Plan

To educate your “Diagnosis You Are the Doctor” patient about their disease, you will develop a detailed health education plan. Your plan should include:
Overview of Diagnosis: general information about the disease: what it is, what causes it, how its spread, signs/symptoms (include what the patient might be experiencing and a reason that it might be happening, prognosis (can this disease effect the patient long term? how?)
Screenings or Diagnostic Testing: how can we check for this disease, how were they diagnosed
Pharmacological Needs/Treatment: Medications or procedures needed to treat disease
Signs and symptoms of exacerbation: What should the patient monitor themselves for that would be a sign they were getting worse and not better
Support Systems: What organizations/meetings in this region might the patient attend or contact to receive help (money for treatment costs/mental health support/research/etc.)
Preventive measures: Include and describe examples of what the patient or anyone can do to prevent this disease?
Create a professional google slide presentation you could print and use as to teach your patient. The first slide should include the disease name, the patient name, and your name. The last slide should include 3 sources in alphabetical order. Include throughout your presentation where you used each source.
Make sure this is written in "patient friendly" terminology. Do not use terminology that your patient might not understand. Pictures are also helpful in explaining things.

Hospital Recruitment Video in Google Classroom

Hospital Recruitment Video

Work with your assigned group to create a recruitment TikTok/InstaReel/YouTube video for your healthcare facilities using the information about therapeutic careers that you discovered through research. Your hospitals can all be in the same "system" for this video. Example, Covenant Healthcare System has many different facilities, so you may need to create a System name for your group.

Your video should cover 3 careers and include a general overview of the scope of practice and essential knowledge and skills required for therapeutic careers. At least one of the careers in the video should be included on a group members research chart. The goal of this video is to RECRUIT employees, so while you are highlighting the scope of practice and knowledge and skills, you should do your best to make your video appealing and make your facilities look like good places to work.
Include:
Overview of common knowledge, skills and tasks of therapeutic careers
Address 3 therapeutic careers with their specific knowledge, skills and tasks that would work at your hospital
Why should healthcare professionals want to work at your facilities?

Day 1 tasks:
Create storyboard using Google Slides
Create detailed script for each scene of the video. Include team member roles on the each slide (who is acting/reading/filming/etc.), and then you should have a slide for each "scene" in your video. Include pictures/drawings that help explain what you want the scene to look like, and include your script (word for word what you plan to say throughout the video). Your storyboard is not an "overview" of your video. It should be more like "step-by-step" directions to follow for completing your video.

Attach storyboard to this assignment.

YOU WILL FILM Thursday and complete on Friday!!!!
