Film Studies I-Pd 4

Course Description

Film Studies I is a one-credit elective course intended to familiarize students with the particulars of film history as well as to provide them with a chance to analyze film as a visual art form. The course content begins with the birth of film at the turn of the 20th Century and runs through to the 1980s. This course should appeal to all students who love to watch and discuss movies. By viewing, studying, discussing, and writing about film students develop and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities along with technological, cultural, and media literacy skills.
