Nancy Kemp
Faculty Bio
This is my 30th year of teaching! I have taught in all three major divisions of Tennessee: Crockett County High School, Waverly Central High School, Houston County High School, Briarwood Middle School; Centennial High School in Franklin, TN.; Whittle Springs Middle School in Knoxville, both Heritage High and William Blount High. This is my 6th year at Alcoa High School.
I also did a stint at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and Blount County Schools Central Office.
Other than my family, I am most passionate about teaching young people US history: the role it plays in their lives and their future as a participant in it. I want them to learn to ask questions and seek answers; I want them to become ambassadors of change. I hope to live and teach as an example and for my students to always remember they are life-long "Kemp kids"!
