The Alcoa Middle School Choral Department seeks discipline and accomplishment through individual responsibility. To achieve this goal, we must strive for communication and an understanding of the rules and regulations governing the program, as well as the responsibilities of each student to their peers, their director, and their school. In addition to the obvious values of music programs (opportunities to perform quality choral literature, developing musical expression and technical competence), several of our chief objectives for which we strive in the Alcoa HIgh School Choral Department are cooperation, dependability, punctuality, professionalism, responsibility, respect, and self-confidence.

VARIETY SHOW - HOMEWORK
I have received emails from you with questions I have already answered in class. Therefore, please read the information below and MARK AS DONE (in order to receive 100 points; a zero will be given to those who do not mark this as done).
1) Our public concert (Variety Show) schedule for 9/14/2021 has been canceled due to the rising number of COVID cases in Tennessee and in our schools.
2) We will video the concert on Tuesday morning in the Lyceum after the morning announcements, pledge, and moment of silence.
3) On Tuesday, arrive at school wearing your uniform (tuxedoes [suits} for guys and black dress for girls).
A. Guys
1. Wear black socks & black dress shoes with your tuxedo. DO NOT wear shoes with a white bottom.
2. Do not show up with a wrinkled uniform.
3. I suggest you wear a plain white tee shirt under your tux shirt because they are slightly see-through.
B. Girls
1. Wear your black singers dress
2. Wear black heels or black dressy flats.
3. DO NOT wear athletic shoes or combat boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Do not wear pants or jeans under your dress.
5. Wear undergarments that WILL NOT show. A strapless bra is your best bet.
6. Wear minimal jewlery, ie. small stud earrings, thin gold or silver chain necklace.
7. Remove headbands, scrunchies from your wrist.
8. Do not arrive in a wrinkled dress.
Individual acts, I need a youtube link to your track NOW. I have recieved them from only 2 of you.
Individual acts, MEMORIZE your lyrics! Singing with a phone in your hand is tacky!
On Tuesday, WEAR YOUR UNIFORM TO SCHOOL! There will be no time for you to change when you get to school.
Tomorrow, Monday - September 13, we meet in my room and then go to the lyceum to run the entire program.
After you have read everything above, please "MARK AS DONE" so I will know you have read it and so that you will receive the appropriate grade.
