Profile

My family and I have been proud to call Alcoa our home since 2015, and I was thrilled to be able to join the Alcoa High School staff in the fall of 2019 as a mathematics teacher. After graduating from The University of Tennessee in 2007 with a Master of Science degree in Mathematics Education, I began my teaching career as a 7th grade math teacher at Heritage Middle School. After spending 4 years at Heritage and 2 additional years at Eagleton Middle School, I decided to take some time away from the classroom to raise my family. During that time, I was privileged to be able to serve on staff at my local church as the director of their weekday preschool program.

I am blessed to have had the opportunity to serve with students of all ages and I feel that this knowledge is beneficial as I serve the students of Alcoa High School. My goal as a teacher is to not only improve and deepen student knowledge of mathematical concepts, but to also provide opportunity for growth and development that will benefit each student as they move on to their next step after high school. It is an honor to serve the students here at Alcoa High School. Go Tornadoes!
