Broadcasting Club

The Broadcasting Club is a student-centered media club, which covers Alcoa High School news, sports and events. The club live streams Alcoa athletic games online, creates videos for the school, and is responsible for the student announcements. In addition, the Broadcasting Club assists the marketing and athletic departments to promote Alcoa High School to assist in its institutional advancement needs. Students of all talent levels are welcome. The club allows students with an interest in journalism, film, sports reporting, etc. to gain valuable hands-on experience to take to college and beyond. Students learn what it takes to be part of a production team of on-air personalities, producers, directors, editors, etc. Students also learn basic social media skills needed for Marketing and Business careers.
