Profile

I am a graduate of UT Knoxville where I majored in Music Education and am beginning my 15th year of teaching this year. The previous 13 years I was a band director in Blount County Schools. I spent the first 8 years as the Band Director at Eagleton Middle School and as Assistant Director at Heritage High School. The following 5 years I was the Head Director at Heritage High School.  This is my third year as the Band Director at Alcoa High School.

 I feel there is a lot of great potential for the Alcoa band program to continue to grow and excel and it is my goal to bring these band students and the program to its highest potential. Whether it’s entertaining on Friday nights; Competing against other bands on Saturdays; performing for area Concert Assessments; or seeing students achieve All-District and All-State status as musicians, I subscribe to a philosophy of being excellent in everything we do. We may not always have the success we want, but if we work hard and have a mindset of excellence, we can achieve great things.
