- Description

Algebra II emphasizes polynomial, rational and exponential expressions, equations, and functions. This course also introduces students to the complex number system, basic trigonometric functions, and foundational statistics skills such as interpretation of data and making statistical inferences. Students build upon previous knowledge of equations and inequalities to reason, solve, and represent equations and inequalities numerically and graphically. Entrance into this course requires completion of Algebra I and teacher recommendation. This course is heavily based online and will require frequent use of technology outside the classroom. An End of Course Test will be given at the end of the course, which will count at least 15% of their final grade.

ADD TO YOUR NOTES:
- If distribution is approximately normal, best measure to center is meanĀ and best measure of spread is standard deviation. (Think normal curve.)
- If distribution isĀ skewed left or right, best measure to center isĀ medianĀ and best measure of spread isĀ interquartile range. (Think box and whisker plot.)
