Chemistry is the study of matter, its composition, properties, and changes it undergoes. Specific topics to be studied include atomic structure, scientific measurement, molar quantities, behavior of gases, the periodic table, chemical reactions, solution chemistry, and stoichiometry. In addition to learning content, students will learn, practice, and strengthen skills involving reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, math and laboratory procedure.

This is meant not as a pointless memorization exercise, but to assist you in ease and speed of completing assignments and problems in this course. Please take your time and make sure you know these important elements.
