Aviation 1 & 2 in the fall, combined with aviation 3 in the spring, form a complete private pilot training program with ground training during the defined class block and flight training happening outside of school hours. Students will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become a FAA certificated private pilot with airplane single engine land (ASEL) rating. Students will go through all steps of flight training, including ground training, and flight training and experience including dual flight training, solo flight, cross country flight, night flight, and simulated or actual flight in instrument conditions.
