AP Human Geography is a semester-long course designed to meet or exceed the experience of a university/college human geography course. The purpose of this course is to utilize geographic processes to systematically study and understand patterns that are evident in the world in which we live. Human Geography is the study of where humans and their activities and institutions such as ethnic groups, religious practices, cities, and industries are located and why they are there. Human geographers also study the interactions of humans with their environment.
