The Alcoa Reads Program is a voluntary participation program designed to encourage and motivate students, families, and the community to read for pleasure. The program allows students to choose a novel from a list titles that are selected for their appeal to our student base. Students that completed their novel were invited to take a comprehensive test when they returned to school to show their knowledge.
Students that scored a 70% or higher on the test were eligible for prizes during their celebration last week. Prizes included free books, candy, Funko Pop figures, headphones, a camera, Nintendo Switches, and an AppleTV 4K.
Over 65 students participated in the program this past summer!
