At the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, all Alcoa High School students who read one the summer read books will take a comprehension test. Students who receive passing scores will be rewarded with a celebration and entered in a drawing for prizes; students who fail the comprehension test or choose not to read will not be penalized.
Students and parents, please research the available titles carefully prior to making a selection. Pay specific attention to the content of the novel, your child’s reading interests and reading ability, etc. It is the responsibility of the parent to guide their child’s reading choice.
