Profile
Professional
In the fall of 2024, I will begin my fourth year at Alcoa High School and my third in my new role as Technology Coordinator for the high school. My primary responsibility will be to support teachers, administration, staff, and students with their technology needs in and out of the classroom. Before transferring to the role, I spent a brief stent in the classroom as the Interim Social Studies Teacher at AHS for the spring 2022 semester, where I taught Statewide Dual Credit (SDC) U.S. History and Economics. During the fall of 2021, I finished my student teaching requirements at AHS, teaching SDC U.S. History, and at Bearden Middle School, teaching 7th grade World History.
Before pursuing a career in education, I spent 13 years in Memphis, TN, where I worked for the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. I began my career at the Redbirds in 2006 as an intern in the ticket operations department and was fortunate enough to be offered a full-time position at the end of my internship as the Group Sales Coordinator. In 2008 I was promoted to Ticket Operations Manager, where I served until May 2009, when I was promoted to Director of Operations. As the Director of Operations, it was my responsibility to oversee the maintenance of the ballpark (AutoZone Park), renovations, events, guest services, technology, and baseball operations (travel and clubhouse). In my final season, 2018, with the Redbirds, I was promoted to Sr. Director of Operations and I helped ownership bring in a new soccer organization, Memphis 901 FC, that would call AutoZone Park home.
Personal
My wife Jenny and I moved to Alcoa in September 2018 to be closer to family. We have two growing boys who keep us busy and a 12-year-old lab/shepherd mix. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, cycling, and woodworking.
