Profile:
Since 2007, my three kids and I have been blessed to call Alcoa High School our family and home. I grew up in Monroe County just 30 min down the road where I began my college career at Hiwassee College. My Bachelor of Science degree was completed once I moved to Tennessee Wesleyan in Athens, TN. After entering the profession I continued my education at Tusculum University to obtain a master's degree in Curriculum design and management and then to LMU for my EdS in Instructional Leadership.
When I entered the profession, I began my first few years of teaching (2001-2007) at McMinn County High School as a Biology and Anatomy & Physiology teacher. While at McMinn, I started the girls volleyball program and served as an assistant basketball coach.
In 2007, I made the move to Alcoa. I began in the science department but then transitioned into the P.E. department where I now teach PE, Wellness, and Women's Weight training.
It is a true blessing and privilege to be at Alcoa! Go Tornadoes!
