I am thrilled to return to my alma mater as an educator! I literally grew up in the halls of AHS where my mother taught and I attended AES and AHS. I left to attend college in Washington, DC on a swimming scholarship and stayed in the DC area for over 18 years, with a one-year hiatus in Kansas City. Life afforded me many opportunities in government relations, communications, and public relations before entering education in Montgomery County, MD. I returned to TN in 2008 with my husband and two children. We (my husband is a high school math teacher) helped open Hardin Valley Academy in Knox County. I joined the AHS staff in 2012.

Throughout my 19-year teaching career, I have taught many Social Studies courses - AP US Government & Politics, AP European History, Statewide Dual Credit American History, US Government, US History, Economics, World Geography, and Contemporary Issues. I currently teach AP US Government and Politics, Statewide Dual American History, and US Government. I am also the co-sponsor of the AHS Scholar's Bowl team.

It is an honor to educate our nation's future professionals and leaders. Go Tornadoes!!
