Faculty Bio

I am a proud alumnus of Alcoa High School ('11) and Maryville College ('15). I also received my Master's degree in 2019. Currently, I am working toward my PhD. I met my lovely wife at Maryville College in concert choir, and together we are raising our two wonderful children. I am native to Alcoa, and I care deeply about my community.

I have taught English I, II, and IV as well as Local Dual Credit Intro to Theatre. My passion is classic and young adult literature. Although I love literature, my philosophy is that teaching teenagers is more important than teaching literature.

I am the adviser for the Alcoa High School Chapter of the National Honor Society and the sponsor for the Alcoa High School Gaming Club. I enjoy working with my brilliant students as they engage in extracurricular activities.
