Faculty Profile

Greetings Alcoa Family,

My family and I are so grateful to have the chance to come and join the Alcoa family for the 2020-2021 academic year.

I've been blessed throughout my career to work with amazing people and passionate, supportive communities. I began my career teaching middle grades and high school English language arts in Anderson County Schools before working as an instructional coach at both the school and district levels. In 2011, I moved into school administration and spent 5 years as an assistant principal and evaluation coach at Clinton High School. I was named the head principal at Clinton High in 2016 and served in that position for the previous 4 academic years before accepting the principal position at Alcoa High School.

Alcoa is one of those rare places which has an established tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. Consequently, Alcoa Schools are regarded across the state of Tennessee as being amongst the very best. More recently, our career and technical education and early post-secondary opportunities have continued to flourish and we will actively look for new, and innovative ways to deepen the access our students have to courses that better prepare them for life after graduation.

Typically schools that experience such success benefit from a near perfect storm (in this case a Tornado!) of all members of the school community striving to do what's best for our children. I'm keenly aware that the wonderful educators, students, and community of Alcoa are the driving force of both the school's achievements and our continued focus on "graduating competitive students." My primary role as principal of AHS will be the support of, and service to, our staff and students as we continue to pursue our best in everything that we do.

Thank you for your continued support of our school and system. I'm humbled to serve as the principal at such a storied school as Alcoa High and look forward to having my family become a part of this special place. Go Tornadoes!!
